Parish Picnic
Afternoon of third Sunday in August

Come to Camp Chickagami, rain or shine. Bring a side dish and perhaps a lawn chair and any special recreational equipment -- e.g. swimwear, hiking shoes -- you might wish to use. Meats, beverages, and tableware are provided. Please phone or sign up at church so we can be sure to feed you.

Blessing of the Animals
11 AM on Saturday closest to the Feast of St. Francis (Oct. 4)

The community is invited to bring pets into the church. We ask that our animal friends come in cages or on leashes, and be as friendly to other animals as we will be. Barking and meowing -- and even growling and hissing -- are tolerated, but we try to encourage that vision of God's holy mountain, where "the wolf and the lamb shall feed together..." (Is 65:25) All animals are recognized and blessed for their place in creation.

Kirkin' o' the Tartans
Near Nov. 30, the Feast of St. Andrew

You need not be Scots to be welcomed by the clans! Come, enjoy and be moved by the pipes, praises, and prayers. Then remain for scones, clotted cream and jam, and -- who knows -- haggis. Please return to this site near the date above for further details. Meanwhile, read a brief history of the Kirkin', and see some pictures from the 2003 event.

Chocolate Extravaganza
Saturday closest to Valentine's Day

Ladies of the parish host the community to a feast of chocolates -- a great variety specially prepared and tantalizingly decorated. All proceeds help parish college students meet expenses. Get your tickets at the door, or in advance from the parish office, (989) 356-0576.
