Our avowed purpose arises from our positive answers to the Baptismal Covenant

  • Will you continue in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers ?
  • Will you persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?
  • Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?
  • Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
  • Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?
As a National Jubilee Center, Trinity emphasizes the goal of "justice and peace among all people." We make our facilities available to the hungry, the addicted, and the mentally challenged. We also work closely with Shelter, Inc. to minister to the victims of domestic abuse

Sunday Supper

  • a meal for the hungry
  • a community outreach
  • an essential service
  • an ecumenical effort
  • a “Jubilee Ministry”

Trinity Episcopal Church leads and hosts the Sunday Supper every first day of the week, to complete the Monday through Saturday mission of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Because hunger takes no holidays. Volunteers from the parish and city serve a freshly prepared meal to all who come to eat. We do not ask for identification  or require that our guests meet certain criteria. We do not discriminate or make judgments any more than our Lord did when people sought his help. When people come, we assume that they are hungry — hungry for food, for company, for respect, for acceptance. And we feed them.

You can help “Sunday Supper” feed the hungry.

  • Volunteer! Join one of the rotating weekly teams that set up, cook, greet guests, serve food, and clean up. Orientations are held quarterly, or upon request.
  • Give a gift! Food and money are always welcome. Cleaning supplies, paper products, key ingredients, and fresh perishable food are needed weekly.
  • Phone the parish office, (989) 356-0576, or e-mail us to express your interest.

“Sunday Supper” arrives every seven days — and people are counting on us. It requires the long-term commitment and on-going support of many people. Before making a commitment, you may wish to observe. Please do, knowing that you will be warmly greeted — and fed!

Jubilee Ministry is a mission of the Episcopal Church. It seeks to make a direct and dynamic link between theology and ethics - or, between the talk of our faith and the walk of our faith. It does this by

  • empowering people to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with their god" (Mi 6:8)
  • responding to the Gospel's call to "feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the imprisoned" (Mt 25:35)
